Fri 13th August...ooooooh
So here I am sitting here, it's Friday 13th - I'm in Budapest a storm has suddenly started - all I can see is flashes of light, highlighting the exquisite sky-line of Budapest with the growl of thunder. But I have a whole week to go before I get here - so let me go back a week....

Saturday morning I wake up and hit the airport, I pride myself that I can get there with all the short cuts and now, no longer need my tomtom to get me to the long stay car park!!! I get in and meet Jimmy for some breakfast in Giraffe - after wandering the shops we leg it to our gate with minutes to spare!! We arrive in Portugal and get in a van and we drive for 3 HOURS!! To get to Sudoueste Festival - we arrive and Jimmy and David see old friends of theirs who play for the Sugababes it was lovely meeting them = they were all very nice (the band - I didn't get to chat to the Babes - except Amelle - we went to the same college!) The show went very well and during Golden - there were golden fans everywhere, it was such a sight!! After the show we had a 3 hour drive back to the hotel - we got in around 3/4 and then up at 8 to go back home.

We arrived back in London at about 1pm and I went straight home - I met Mark in town and we had lunch, did some shopping, lovely normal bits and bobs on a Sunday afternoon. We had dinner at my folks house and left Banjo with them as Mark and I were out for the next day.

Tuesday morning we woke up and I prepared my obento box to take to Glyndebourne. We booked tickets to see Hansel and Gretel (Humperdinck) and Ida Falk Winland (Mika's guest vocalist on his acoustic tour and the Imaginarium Tour) was in it 0 she was the Dew Fairy, a small, but wonderful part - and she was absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! I only wish I had heard her more - but this is such a reputable company, I'm sure she will do much more for them! It's wonderful, so Mark, his big burliness rock god and me, the pink headed half shaven self confessed rock chick totally blended in with the Operatic crowd (cough cough...) Well we did our best not to - we complied with the rules - we dressed beautifully!! So after laying out our picnic table and defending our spot, we headed into the cafe for cream teas - yum!! After our teas we saw Ida for a bit and caught up... the the show began - the set was AMAZING - it was like something from a MIKA show - lots of little bits and bobs and surprises! After an hour we had a 90 minute interval where we went to our picnic spot and ate the bento boxes I had prepared earlier!! With green tea and cream cakes for after... perfect!
We then went to see the rest of the show... absolutely BRILLIANT!!!! My mum, sister and sister's boyfriend are going on Tuesday - so excited for them.
On Wednesday I went and got waxed as us ladies do.... and had a facial, after this I went to see my friend Charlotte who gave birth to little Alexander while I was away - we had a good natter as our dogs went mental around our feet! Back home to collect a parcel, then quick work out - dinner - zzzzzzzzzzzz
Thursday started of being a manic day and then I decided to cancel my hair appointment to make my life a little easier! So I went and picked my friend Kate up and we headed to Kent, which ended up being an hour and a half drive down the motor way - I managed to see my lovely girls for a measly hour and a half and drove back up the motorway - saw Mark off at the train station - he's off again - went home, walked Banjo - set off for family home and got a phone call, a certain person, mentioning no names (starts with M - ends in K!!!) left a passport at home... so muggins here drove past where she had already driven that day to drop it off - still I was greeted by sweets and a pink cup cake and hugs a plenty!! So I drove to my family's home ate noodles, left our little banj and went home to pack at 1AM!!!!

After deliriously packing and un-packing my bag I went to sleep at 3, to be woken up at 8 to leave to the airport to go to Budapest!! A place I have never been to or know much about - we got here about 4pm and after an hour we left to the venue - the drive there was great we got to see some beautiful buildings, the architecture here is so interesting, I would love to come back and have more of a wander.. The line-up was bizarre, we were wedged between Papa Roach and 30 Seconds to Mars, both bands which I like and own albums of but it was interesting to see the crowd reaction. WE rocked our socks off, people danced, clapped, waved - it was great fun and it felt great to be back on stage. After the show, I had a massage - SOOO good and then Maria and I went to watch 30 Seconds to Mars and rocked the side of stage!! When all the girls came on stage it was so funny to see their reaction to Jared Leto - I have to admit he really is very pretty, if a bit too much if you catch my drift? I had a chat with Shannon, the drummer who seemed very nice and normal.
So here I am back at my room watching Budapest go by with it's crazy flash storms!!

I bid you a good night and sweet dreams... till next week...
